FAQ
Does microblading or shading hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as similar to eyebrow threading or light scratches. Professional artists apply topical numbing agents before and during the session to ensure minimal discomfort.
How long does the appointment take?
An initial session generally requires 2 to 3 hours, which includes comprehensive consultation, facial mapping, and the actual blading.
What is the healing timeline?
Initial surface healing takes about 7 to 14 days, during which you may experience mild scabbing or flaking. Complete internal healing and final color settling take approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
Can I wear makeup after the procedure?
You should avoid applying any makeup directly on the eyebrow area for at least 10 to 14 days to prevent infection and allow the incisions to close.
How long do the results last?
Results are semi-permanent and typically last 1 to 3 years depending on skin type, lifestyle, and sun exposure.
Is a touch-up necessary?
Yes. A follow-up "perfecting" session is required 6 to 8 weeks after the first appointment to fill in any areas that didn't retain pigment and to refine the shape.
Who should avoid microblading?
Contraindications include pregnancy or nursing, active skin conditions (like eczema or psoriasis near the brows), use of Accutane within the last year, or being prone to keloid scarring. Individuals with very oily skin or large pores may also be poor candidates, as the hair strokes can blur more quickly.
What is the difference between Microblading and Powder Brows?
Microblading uses a manual tool to create fine, hair-like strokes for a natural look. Powder Brows (or Ombré Brows) use a machine to create a soft, shaded makeup look that is often better for oily skin
Are your tools and pigments safe?
Absolutely. We use only sterile, single-use disposable needles that are opened in front of you. Our pigments are high-quality, professional-grade, and formulated for safety and stability
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications (like Aspirin or Ibuprofen) for 24–48 hours before your session. Also, stop using Retinol or getting chemical peels for 2-4 weeks prior
Can you fix or cover another artist's work?
Covering old work is possible but depends on the current darkness and shape of the existing tattoo. Please send a clear photo of your brows in natural light for a consultation before booking.
What should I expect during the healing process?
Your brows will appear very dark and bold for the first few days. Around days 5–10, they will flake or scab. Once scabs fall off, the color may appear to "disappear" (the ghosting phase) before resurfacing after 4–6 weeks.
How long is the recovery time?
Surface healing takes about 7 to 14 days. However, it takes a full 4 to 6 weeks for the skin to completely regenerate and for the true color to stabilize.
Why do my brows look lighter after the scabs fall off?
This is called the "ghosting" phase. New skin is growing over the pigment, making it look milky or light. The color will gradually "bloom" and become more visible over the following weeks.
